• Audio to same language transcription - the transcript generated from the audio is in the same language as spoken in the audio.

• Audio to different language transcription - this is the direct transcription from the source audio into a different language. This involves transcription into the source language and then translation of the text into another language by a different linguist. In most cases, the translation is performed by the same person performing the transcription as they are most familiar with the material.

• Audio to same/different language transcription - the transcript produced includes the spoken words in both the original source audio language and a different language.
