Position Details:
YYZ Translations is currently looking to contract 2 to 4 freelance voice over artists who have native and modern fluency in Japanese and English languages. This includes university level or equivalent knowledge of Japanese and English and the tools required for performing translation work. The responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Read translated text for recording purposes.
- Keep time codes in order to sync Japanese audio over source video files.
- Work with the sound engineer (if recording in a studio) to ensure the recording happens correctly.
- Have a flexible schedule.
Candidates applying for this position are required to meet the following qualification criteria:
- Male/female voices between the ages of 20 to 50.
- Must have academic background in translation of English to Japanese, or equivalent working experience.
- Knowledge of Japanese business language, cultural nuances is required.
- Must have the capacity to record at least 2000 words per day.
- Must have a pleasant tone.
- Previous experience with eLearning and business material is preferred.
- If the artist can provide their own studio services, must be able to meet the file format and quality requirements.
- Must provide a voice sample for the customer to approve the appropriate voice talent.
