Position Details: YYZ Translations is currently looking to 5 business development specialists who have formal training and/or proven modern sales and business development experience. This includes university level or equivalent knowledge of sales and marketing and the tools required. The responsibilities of this position are as follows: - Promotes products and services, and negotiates contracts to achieve assigned sales and revenue goals.
- Prospect new customers for sales opportunities within and outside the language and localization industry.
- Develops and executes strategies to achieve revenue goals that reflect an understanding of market conditions and trends.
- Addresses customer service issues in the field by managing customer expectations and coordinating with sales team.
- Develops, implements, and sustains quality process improvements that focus on financials, operations, and customer service.
- Multi-task and make quick decisions to land sales opportunities.
- Be constantly on the lookout for new sales channels.
- Maintain a very positive attitude and complement our existing staff.
Candidates applying for this position are required to meet the following qualification criteria: - Background in sales and business development in the language industry is strongly preferred.
- Must be a self-motivator, organized and punctual.
- Must have the ability to work both in large and small teams, with the ability to lead by model and prove by action.
- Must have excellent reporting and note taking skills.
- Should be familiar with sales, CRM, ERP and project management software.
- Must be flexible to learn new tools and techniques, processes and procedures.
- Must be able to convert a customer challenge into an opportunity.
- Must have the ability to maintain sensitive information in confidence.
- Fluent in reading, writing, comprehension, and all forms of communication in English language is required.
- Must be able to communicate via internet, email and telecom equipment. Should have reliable communication (internet, telephone) accessible.
- Should have a pleasant and open working attitude.
- Should be able to provide reliable references if required.
- Must meet certain business objectives and goals set forth by the hiring manager.

Other Requirements - This job may require local commute for client visits, so it is strongly preferred that the candidate must have a valid driving license and possess an operational vehicle.
- It may also include a certain degree of account management on the part of the business developer to maintain the relationship and explore sales opportunities over time.
